The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the IBPS SO (Specialist Officer) 2025 recruitment notification, which includes the Agricultural Field Officer (AFO) position.

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS AFO:
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 20 and 30 years as of November 1, 2025. Age relaxation is provided for reserved categories (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10 years, Ex-Servicemen: 5 years).
Educational Qualification: A 4-year graduation degree in Agriculture or allied fields such as Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Fishery Science, Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, Sericulture, Forestry, etc., from a recognized university.

Application Process:
Visit the official IBPS website: www.ibps.in
Click on the "CRP Specialist Officers" link.
Select "Apply Online for Agriculture Field Officer (Scale I)".
Register using your mobile number and email ID.
Fill in the application form with personal, educational, and professional details.
Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other required documents.
Pay the application fee online. The fee is ₹175 for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates, and ₹850 for all other categories.
Submit the form and save a copy of the confirmation page.
Selection Process:
The IBPS AFO selection process involves three stages:
Preliminary Examination: This is a qualifying exam with sections on Reasoning, English Language, and Quantitative Aptitude.
Mains Examination: This exam focuses on Professional Knowledge specific to the Agricultural Field Officer post. Marks from the Mains exam are considered for shortlisting for the interview and final merit.
Interview: Candidates who qualify the Mains exam will be called for an interview. The final selection is based on a combined score of the Mains exam (80% weightage) and the Interview (20% weightage).
Syllabus:
Prelims: Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude.
Mains (Professional Knowledge): This section covers various topics related to agriculture, including crop production, horticulture, seed science, agricultural economics, animal husbandry, soil science, agricultural practices, government schemes, and current affairs related to agriculture.
