 * Educational Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree from a recognized university in one of the following disciplines:

   * Biochemistry / Microbiology / Chemistry / Medicine
   * Degrees should be approved by a competent authority such as the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) or equivalent.

 * Application fees vary by category (e.g., General/UR: ₹560/-, SC/ST/OBC (MP Domicile): ₹310/-). A correction fee of ₹50/- is also applicable.

Selection Process:
The selection process typically includes:

 * Written Examination: This is the primary assessment tool, evaluating candidates on subject knowledge (food safety standards, regulations, scientific knowledge), general awareness, reasoning, and analytical skills. The exam is OMR-based.
   * The exam will have two sections: Section A (General Studies) with 50 questions for 150 marks, and Section B (Food Science and Technology) with 100 questions for 300 marks.
   * The total duration is 3 hours for 150 questions and 450 marks.
   * Negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer is applicable.
   * Minimum qualifying marks: 40% in each section for General category, and 30% for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH candidates.

 * Interview: Candidates who qualify the written examination are shortlisted for an interview to assess communication skills, professional knowledge, and problem-solving abilities. The interview carries 50 marks.

 * Document Verification: Successful candidates undergo document verification to confirm eligibility.

 * Final Selection: A final merit list is prepared based on the performance in the written examination and interview, along with successful document verification.

Syllabus:
The syllabus is divided into two sections:

 * Section A: General Studies (History, Geography, Politics, Economy, and Current Affairs of Madhya Pradesh).

 * Section B: Food Science and Technology (Introduction to Basic Food Science, Food Microbiology, Food and Nutrition, Food Preservation, Packaging and Storage, Food Safety, Quality Control, Hygiene & Standards, Public Health & Nutrition, Agriculture & Animal Product Processing, etc.).
